    Arthritis can cause stiffness and pain in one or more joints. There are two main types of arthritis.

    • Osteoarthritis (i.e. degenerative arthritis) is caused by “wear and tear” of a joint over time and is very common
    • Inflammatory arthritis is related to inflammation in the joints and is often associated with warmth, swelling, and redness and is seen in patients with autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis
