This avoids any conflict of interest in providing you with the best services as your personal advocate, recognizing that advocacy directed by insurance companies, rather than health professionals, may not always be in your best interest.

You may be able to get tax reimbursement for services, so it is important you save all receipts and talk with your accountant.

Dr. Stenehjem makes every effort to fairly structure her fee based on your situation and the objectives you wish to accomplish. She wants to make sure you are maximizing the return on your investment and that she is helping you achieve your goals for a price that equally matches this objective.

She offers a free introductory phone call to discuss your goals and to determine if patient advocacy is the right choice for you.

If you decide to move forward, the price for the initial consultation depends upon the time required to perform the consultation and any additional work, such as medical record review. Consultation prices range from $160 to $420, and are determined by your needs and health goals.

After the initial consultation, you will receive a full summary of steps you can take to achieve your goals. Dr. Stenehjem provides thorough summaries which you can follow on your own or you can hire her to work with you to accomplish some or all of the steps.

If you hire her for ongoing work, a portion of your consultation fee will go towards future sessions. She also provides discounts on bundled sessions.

Dr. Stenehjem understands the ups and downs of chronic illness and knows that certain times of the day are better for some and not good for others. Therefore, she offers a very flexible appointment schedule.

Yes, Dr. Stenejem offers secure, HIPAA-compliant phone, video chat, and email services, so she is able to work with you from anywhere in the United States.

Dr. Stenehjem takes your privacy very seriously and uses special email, video chat, phone call, and fax software, all of which are secure and HIPAA-compliant.

She also provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant Client Scheduling and Billing Portal.

Dr. Stenehjem is only able to work with you if you live in the United States.

Consultations and follow-up sessions generally last between 1-2 hours and 15-30 minutes respectively, depending on your needs.

No. Dr. Stenehjem works as a Private Patient Advocate which means she does NOT examine, diagnose, prescribe medications, treat patients, offer second opinions, or respond to urgent medical needs.
